The City of Palmdale’s Human Resources division provides professional assistance and guidance to departments in recruiting, developing, maintaining and managing a highly qualified workforce that provides superior customer service. Human Resources provides support services to employees in areas such as recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee relations, training, personnel processing, interpretation of rules, regulations and policies, and EEO/ADA compliance.
Human Resources is also responsible for the overview of labor relations, maintaining positive employer-employee relations and negotiating labor contracts with the City’s recognized bargaining unit.
In addition, this division manages the City’s workers’ compensation program by helping employees resolve their work-related injuries and is committed to processing claims expeditiously and accurately. Safety is our number one concern and our main priority is to provide employees with services and training that minimize work-related injuries and illnesses.
