Neighborhood Houses

The Neighborhood House program provides opportunities for residents to participate in programs right in their own neighborhood. They serve as a meeting place for community-based organizations; offer drop-in afterschool homework help and activities for children; and provide a variety of services and programs offered by community groups. The programs are free to residents of the neighborhood.

If you would like to request the use of a neighborhood house, please call the house you are interested in, or fill out our online form by clicking on the Request Use of a Neighborhood House button to the left and we will contact you.

“Gardens, scholars say, are the first sign of commitment to a community. When people plant corn they are saying, ‘Let's stay here.’ And by their connection to the land, they are connected to one another.” —Anne Raver
