Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.

Palmdale Partners Academy

"Who decides what businesses come to town?"

"Where does the funding come from to take care of the City?"

"How do I present to the City Council?"

"How do I get a new recreation and culture program?"

These and many other who, what, when, where, why and how questions are answered in the Palmdale Partners Academy.

The Palmdale Partners Academy is designed to give citizens a first-hand look at City operations and services. Participants will interact with City staff and learn the challenges facing municipal governments as well as gain insight into the City's future goals and objectives. Whether you are an aspiring politician, a business owner or an interested resident, you are sure to find the Academy packed with valuable information.

The Academy is offered annually, typically in September, and is offered free of charge to participants.
