Formed in 1997 by Resolution No. 97-062 under the Guidelines and Rules in Part 2 of Division 24 of the State of California Health and Safety Code. The purpose of the Housing Authority is to address the shortage of safe, sanitary housing for persons of low income.
Meeting Information (Meetings and Agendas)
Meetings are called as needed and are generally held in the City Council Chamber, 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B. For information regarding meetings contact City Clerk at 661/267-5151.
Housing Authority Commissioners (2 Year Term)
The Palmdale Housing Authority is made up of seven (7) commissioners consisting of five (5) City Council members and two (2) appointed Tenant members. The two (2) appointed tenant members must be tenants in the City-owned parks and at least one (1) of the appointed tenant members must be age 62 or older. The two (2) appointed tenant members have the same equal voting rights as the five City Council members. Housing Authority commissioners receive no compensation or reimbursement.
