Welcome to the Office of the City Clerk

The Office of the City Clerk plays a critical role in the process of local legislation and ensures the integrity of municipal governance through the preparation, management, and distribution of City Council and all other Agency agenda packets. The City Clerk administers the city-wide Records Management Program and coordinates the City’s Municipal Election from pre-planning to certification of election results.

  • Prepare City Council and all other agency/authority agendas and packets with supporting information for each meeting in accordance with the Brown Act
  • Maintain information for public access to the City Council Agendas, Minutes and Recordings


Boards and Commissions

Pursuant to adopted Ordinance No. 1357, the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall make all appointments to City Boards, Commissions, and Committees. The City Clerk’s office coordinates the nomination process by advertising to fill any vacancy.  Any person seeking to be so appointed must complete and submit the city’s application to the City Clerk’s office, together with any other information requested by the Mayor as appropriate for a specific board or commission.

The Regular City Council and Successor Agency to the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Palmdale Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B, Palmdale.  These Regular meetings are simulcast live on Time Warner Channel 27 and at www.cityofpalmdale.org.

Form 700 - The Mayor and City Councilmembers are elected officers identified in Government Code Section 87200 and file Statements of Economic Interests, Form 700, with the City Clerk’s office.  Copies of their Statements of Economic Interests may be obtained by visiting the offices of the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), located at 428 J Street, Suite 620, Sacramento, CA  95814 or the City Clerk’s office. The Statements of Economic Interest for some state and local government agency elected officers may be available in electronic form on the FPPC's website at http://www.fppc.ca.gov.

Form 801 - Gifts to Agency Report

Form 806 - This form is required pursuant to FPPC Regulation 18705.5. Each agency must post on its website a single Form 806 which lists all the paid appointed positions to which an official will vote to appoint themselves.
