Join the Adopt-a-Plane Program

Palmdale's Adopt-a-Plane program allows interested groups to "adopt" one of the aircraft displayed at the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark at Palmdale Plant 42.
Groups who adopt a plane commit to cleaning the aircraft display on an as-needed basis, typically once per month. Groups should consist of 6-10 people for most planes. Cleaning should be done between 7 and 10 am, on selected Saturdays; other days are subject to approval. All cleaning tools and materials are supplied by the City of Palmdale. Adult supervision is required for minors.
Adoptions are available on a first-come, first served basis. As part of the program, all adopting groups will receive:
- group name on a sign next to the aircraft
- group name on City's Web site
- press release announcing the first scheduled cleaning
- invitations to special events at the Airpark
- recognition at annual awards ceremony
