Photo Named one of the fastest-growing cities in America, the City of Palmdale has enjoyed tremendous growth and prosperity over the last decade. The more than 152,000 residents who call Palmdale home enjoy a pleasing quality of life in this family-oriented community.


Palmdale is a Charter City governed under the council/manager form of local government. The mayor is elected every two years for a two-year term. Also every two years, two of the four councilmembers are elected to serve four-year terms.


City Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7 pm in the City Council Chamber, 38300 Sierra Highyway, Suite B.

How to Get to Palmdale

Palmdale is located in the southern region of the Antelope Valley, approximately 60 miles northeast of Downtown Los Angeles off State Highway 14.
