Quality education is a high priority in Palmdale!

The City of Palmdale is served by two elementary (K-8) school districts. Westside School District serves students west of 25th Street West ( View Boundary Maps ) and Palmdale School District serves students east of 25th Street West to 80th Street East (View Boundary Maps). When students graduate from these elementary districts, they attend the Antelope Valley Joint Union High School District.

Palmdale School District
Palmdale Elementary School District is the fourth largest elementary school district in the State of California and the largest in Los Angeles County. PSD offers traditional and innovative educational programs in K-5, K-6, K-8 middle and intermediate school settings. The District also has a dual-immersion magnet school, Los Amigos and a school of choice, Palmdale Learning Plaza which offers visual and performing arts and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.

The District also contains two charter schools: The Guidance Charter School offers an education with small class sizes and a variety of instructional programs including foreign languages. The Antelope Valley Learning Academy offers support for home-schooled children and their parents.
