The City Clerk's office is the point of contact for the public and staff regarding Council actions. Our responsibilities include:
Legislative:
- Prepare City Council, Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), Housing Authority (HA), Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Palmdale Airport Authority (PAA), and Palmdale Civic Authority (PCA) agendas and packets with supporting information for each meeting in accordance with the Brown Act.
- Post Council/Agency/Authority agendas and minutes and supporting information online.
- Publish City Ordinances and posts legal advertising.
- Record actions taken by the legislative body.
City Records:
- Manage Citywide Records Management Program.
- Updates City Municipal Code books and online code.
- Receive Public Records Requests and Claims
- Maintain Statement of Economic Interest forms for City officials, designated city employees, and consultants.
Elections:
- Serve as Election Official for the City.
- Assist Candidates in meeting their legal responsibilities, before, during and after an election.
- Serve as filing officer for campaign statements.
