Palmdale Oasis Park features a six-acre old Western mining town-themed aquatic park, a recreation center and a year-round swimming pool. This site also has a 4.5-acre landscaped area designed for community events and a landscaped 12-acre flood detention basin for soccer and football.
Project Impact & Benefits
- Provides residents on the east side a new community park.
- Due to location, the park enhances the image and quality of life for residents in east Palmdale.
- Maximizes expenditure of funds and use of land by providing a park that also serves as a drainage basin.
- Provides children with a safe place to play.
- Enhances aesthetics for the area.
- Improvements allow department to accommodate the current unmet demands of residents.
Palmdale Oasis Park Recreation Center (POPC)
The Palmdale Oasis Park Recreation Center not only provides a new place for families to enjoy, where youth can work and play, but moves children from wait lists and allows the City to offer a greater variety of activities for all ages, including day camp, after school programs, and Tiny Tot and contract classes.- 16,809 square foot
- 8,630 square foot gymnasium with regulation basketball court and two cross courts
- Multi-purpose hall that can be divided into three separate activity and meeting rooms

DryTown Water Park & Mining Company
Opened May 27, 2006- Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day

Palmdale Oasis Swimming Pool
The swimming pool accommodates recreational swimming, competitive swim team practices and meets, swim lessons, water aerobics, senior citizen swim, lap swim, water polo, family swim, aquatic camps and lifeguard training programs.- Regulation 25 yard x 25 meter competition pool
