911 Cell Phones for Individuals Age 55+

There is now a FREE 911-cell phone program for individuals age 55+ offered at Legacy Commons. Any individual age 55+ who needs a cell phone for emergency calls will receive one, subject to availability. Legacy Commons is located at 930 East Avenue Q-9. For more information, call Legacy Commons at 267-5904.

Donations

If you'd like to donate an OPERABLE cell phone with its battery and charger to this worthy cause, please come by Legacy Commons and we will gladly give you a receipt for your donation. (The phone does not need to be "activated" by a wireless service!)

There are also community drop off sites for citizens to donate their cell phones. The Kiwanis Club of the Antelope Valley has graciously volunteered to pick up these donated phones once a month from the following sites:

George's Cleaners
Lancaster 44759 N. Beech Avenue
Quartz Hill 5023 West Avenue M
Palmdale 38729 Tierra Subida

Troth Realtors
Lancaster 1801 West Avenue K

The Garrison Family Medical Group
Palmdale 41210 11th Street West

Michelizzi, Schwabacher, Ward & Bianchi Law Office
Lancaster 767 West Lancaster Blvd.

Look for more sites in the future, such as High Desert Medical Group!
