Dance lovers of all ages, come join the fun and enjoy an enriching dance education, and an opportunity to develop performance skills.

THURSDAY CLASSES


Classes begin January 5

"Pre-Primary/Pre Ballet" Students ages 5 to 6
Thursdays, 3 pm to 3:45 pm.
Requirements: None
Young children are introduced to the fundamentals of dance movement. Students develop competencies in musicality, rhythm, balance, coordination, creativity and locomotor skills through developmentally appropriate movement experiences.

"Beginning Ballet" Students ages 7 to 10
Thursdays, 4 pm to 5 pm
Requirements: None
Students are introduced to the formal skills and vocabulary of classical ballet, as appropriate for their age and physical development. The class incorporates creative movement experiences, center barre technique, performance skills and class and stage etiquette in a structured class environment.

"Basic Ballet"
Thursdays, 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm
Requirements: Successful completion of beginning ballet coursework or equivalent.
The student increases his/her knowledge of the classical ballet skills and vocabulary within a traditional class structure. The class includes barre technique and center work. Performance skills and etiquette are emphasized.

"Intermediate/Advanced Ballet"
Thursdays, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Requirements: Consent of Instructor
A traditional classical ballet class which includes barre and center work. competency in basic ballet technique is required, including port de bras, adagio, enchainement, petit and grand allegro and pirouettes.

DANCE CLASS ATTIRE: Ballet girls all levels. Hair neatly fastened away from face and off neck; pink tights and ballet slippers; no jewelry, skirts, oversized warmups or street clothing. Pre Ballet, light pink leotard; Beginning/Basic Ballet, black leotard. Intermediate/Advanced Ballet, dance attire consistent with classical ballet standards.

Ballet Boys. Pre-Ballet, white T-shirt, black bike short, white socks, black ballet slippers. Beginning/Basic/Intermediate Advanced Ballet, black tights or bike shorts, close fitting white T-shirt, black ballet slippers.

$70 Palmdale Resident
$90 Non-resident
