Emergency Preparedness
The Department of Public Safety and Community Relations oversees the City of Palmdale's Emergency Services program. The program provides for the development and implementation of disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery policies and procedures. Through this program, the City's Emergency Operations Plan is continually reviewed and updated as needed. The Emergency Services program is also responsible for reviewing and implementing suggestions from the State Office of Emergency Services, Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Office of Homeland Security on issues related to terrorism activities.
