Public Safety & Community Relations

The Department of Public Safety and Community Relations provides services that help keep Palmdale's residents and businesses safe. The office oversees the Drug and Life-Skills Education program, Neighborhood and Business Watch programs, Partners Against Crime program, park rangers, community service officers, crime prevention and community-based policing efforts, graffiti abatement and restitution, crime prevention through environmental design plan reviews, parking enforcement programs and Youth & Family Services. Law enforcement services are provided by contract with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Fire and emergency response are provided by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
