ROSE PARADE® Float Decorating - Own Transportation
Sign up to decorate the City of Palmdale's 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade® float. Decorating will take place at the Duarte Float Pavilion in Duarte, approximately 75 miles from Palmdale. A map and directions will be mailed to participants. Please come dressed in layers. This is an open-air warehouse and decorating will take place rain or shine. NO SANDALS will be allowed. A meal and snacks will be provided and all participants will receive a souvenir T-shirt. An adult must accompany participants under age 18. Cancellations must be made one week in advance of excursion to receive credit.Please note: a parking fee may be charged at the Duarte Float Pavilion. The City of Palmdale does not pay for parking. Volunteer to decorate the City of Palmdale's 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade® float. Bus accommodation is limited so early registration is recommended. Please come dressed in layers. This is an open-air warehouse and decorating will take place rain or shine. NO SANDALS will be allowed. A meal and snacks will be provided and all particpants will receive a souvenir T-shirt. An adult must accompany participants under age 18. Cancellations must be made one week in advance of excursion to receive credit. ROSE PARADE® Float Judging Day
Want to see some of floats of the 2008 floats up close, but cannot make it to the actual parade? No problem! We are heading to Duarte the day before the Rose Parade® for Float Judging Day. This excursion involves a lot of standing and walking. Children must be age 5 and older to participate; babies and strollers are not permitted. Food will not be provided and is not available on-site.
