This database contains the date of death and/or the dates that obituaries appeared in the Antelope Valley Press. It does not contain full-text obituaries. The database covers 1983 to the present, however, some of the early years are not complete.
Fred Strasburg, eminent historian of the Antelope Valley, left his extensive collection of books, maps, and photographs to the Palmdale City Library in early 1999. The Strasburg Family Antelope Valley History Room was created with the help of the Friends of the Palmdale City Library to house his collection.
