2020 Stamp Out Hunger (May 9, 2020)

This annual event conducted in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service and National Association of Letter Carriers collects and processes food for local distribution. For information please call 661-267-5191.

Past Events

The City extends a hearty ‘thank-you’ to the many residents who made last years’ service days a success. Your commitment and dedication to our community is greatly appreciated and truly makes Palmdale a place to call home.

Past service opportunities included:

Courson Park Neighborhood Clean up 

Almost 200 volunteers came out for two community events to revitalize this historic park.

Old Harold Road Clean-up

24 Volunteers contributed 96 hours to clean-up illegally dumped trash along Old Harold Road.

Barrel Springs Clean-up 

47 volunteers contributed 88 hours to clean out illegally dumped trash along this favorite walking path.

2019 Stamp Out Hunger

Hundreds of volunteers joined forces with the Letter Carrier Association to collect and process 59,869 pounds of food at this annual food drive.

2018 Family Volunteer Day

207 Volunteers contributed 724.5 hours to prepare holiday food baskets, create lap blankets for local charities, assemble hygiene kits for the homeless, create cards for our troops and decorate Poncitlan Square for the holidays.

Participant Guidelines

Unless otherwise noted on event materials, the following age restrictions will be enforced:

  • 18 years of age or older may participate with a signed Release Form 
  • 16-17 years of age may participate with a Release Form signed by a parent or guardian.
  • Under 15 years of age may participate with a Release Form signed by a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by an adult.

Release forms will also be available at events.
