Featured Campaign

R Lee Ermey Memorial Drive

The section of Avenue N between Agena Road and Sierra Highway in Palmdale was renamed in memory of acclaimed actor and Marine Corps veteran R. Lee Ermey during a ceremony on November 10, 2018, the Marine Corps’ birthday.

Ermey lived just off Avenue N for 24 years until his death in April 2018 at age 74. Efforts to rename the road after him began in May and were unanimously approved by the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster, Los Angeles County and the California Department of Transportation.

Plans call for R. Lee Ermey Avenue (Avenue N) street and highway signs, plaques and a musical road that will 'play' the Marines’ Hymn when driven upon via grooves in the road. Donate to the Memorial Drive.

Administrative Fees

The Foundation does not have dedicated staff but does incur limited operational costs including insurance premiums, annual auditing costs, and third party processing fees. In order to defray these costs, the Foundation sets aside 3% of each donation except where prohibited by grant restrictions. Donors receive full credit for their donation amount.
